Rhonda and Glenda at El Rey.
Away from the comfortable air conditioned rooms of the resort, the temperature rises to a stifling degree, causing sweat to pour down our faces and drip into our eyes. In this photograph, Rhonda and Glenda take refuge from the heat inside one of the ruins. The shade provided by the ancient stonework protected us from the sun, and as an added feature, we then got to see an example of a classical Mayan arch.
