Leaving Mercado 23, we saw a shrine in the center of the market honoring the Virgin of Guadalupe, so we stopped to take yet another picture. I like this one because you can just barely see my mother's reflection in the glass. Afterwards, we saw a vendor selling Mexican flags. I really love these smaller markets; they're less commercial and more authentic.
It's funny. I felt more at home in the "real" portions of Cancun, and Rhonda felt more comfortable at the resort. It's all a matter of perspective, I guess.
