Dakota at the helm...
Ferries at Puerto Juarez...
Puerto Juarez
The next day, I took a short side trip to Isla Mujeres with my mom, Dakota, and Whitney. We took a bus to the city center, and then grabbed a cab to Puerto Juarez. From there, we bought passage on a ferry to the island. We actually saved a lot of money by taking the public bus, rather than taking a taxi the whole distance.
The ferry was very nice. It was much smaller than the ferries we know in the Seattle area, and was completely open on top. We rode about 20 or 30 minutes, and then arrived at the island.
