These photographs were taken at Bear Lake, north of Spokane near the Newport Highway. We visited Bear Lake when I accepted my Winter Challenge. It was a beautiful sunny day - above 50 degrees - but the lake was still covered by a layer of ice.
Tules are growing near the shore.
The edge of the ice.
Cattails in the sunlight.
