My sister gave me a new camera.
She left it with me, so that I could learn to use it for her wedding pictures. And when she said it was a gift, I really thought she was joking. It wasn't until a couple hours later that it hit me: she was telling the truth! I called her back and said, "Are you giving this camera to me?"
She said, "Yeah. I figured with all the money I would have to pay for a wedding photographer, I could just buy the camera and have you do it. I know you enjoy taking pictures."
I was stunned. I just sat there and cried.

Now I have to learn how to use all the fancy settings, but I suppose that is a good problem to have.
Even without a macro lens,
I was still able to get some good close-ups.
Also, the manual had a little tutorial on how to manually adjust the f-stop to create a greater sense of depth in the pictures. I always loved this effect, and I even learned how to mimic this 'look' using Gimp. However, this camera does a much better job of it.
Edward took this pictures.

How fantastic! I'm glad you will be able to enjoy your new camera. I always loved messing with the f-stop in my pre-digital days. I miss my old camera...
