I got a call late last night asking me to pick up an old friend at Geiger Correctional Facility. I arrived at the jail a little late and found him walking down the highway toward Spokane. He visited my family for a while, then I dropped him off downtown. As we talked about his release from jail he stated how he is now "free at last;" I just hope his freedom will last longer than before.
