Parade

One of the powwow traditions I appreciate most is the Sunday parade. The flag bearers lead the way while the drummers and dancers follow behind, winding through all the camps. The drummers take turns singing as the parade progresses. This year, Richard Brisbois and Francis Carson carried the eagle staffs, followed in this photograph by Steve Small Salmon and Roger Jack, wearing war bonnets. Others followed carrying the American flag and other flags representing various veterans organizations.
