Cancun #37

House of Iguanas

Hundreds of iguanas make their home at the El Rey ruins; this was just one of many. We saw them crawling out of holes in the ruins, sunning themselves on the grass, and crawling amid the underbrush. There were so many, Rhonda made me chase them all away before she would explore some of the buildings. I suppose they are the true caretakers of the ruins, but they still made my family nervous.

There were iguanas of all sizes. This one was quite large.
