Sea Turtles
After our recent encounter with wild sea turtles, I was glad to visit a turtle sanctuary on Isla Mujeres. I had wondered how they protected the eggs from curious tourists in the hotel zone, and we found out they actually dig them up and move them to a place like this. The fence shown above is labeled in sections, showing the kinds of turtles found. The eggs hatch here, and they are cared for until they are old enough to be released into the open ocean.

What do the signs say? They appear to be names of people who found them or maybe names of people who are taking care of them?
I think the top name refers to the species or type of turtle. The bottom names may very well refer to caretakers or the ones who found them. I don't know. The bottom is a date.
