Forgiveness and Triumph

Copyright © 2006 Barry G. Moses.

How shall I describe this day? I was home sick again with my daughters, and yet the most amazing things happened:

1) I forgave someone who hurt me deeply.
2) A friend saw my deepest vulnerability and felt inspired.
3) I shared personal visions with a friend.
4) I took a stand for my life and dignity.
5) I released many years of pain and fear.
6) I experienced a triumph of spirit.

You will know that forgiveness has begun when you recall those who hurt you and feel the power to wish them well. ~Lewis B. Smedes

Hello Barry, I met you briefly at Heart Song - that most amazing concert with Frank Heinkel - I was moved by his music and yours, singly and together. The number of people so fortunate to witness this event was small, but that felt right to me. It was more intimate and more personal... it was extraordinary.
I do hope you're feeling better soon.

My heart was deeply touched by the words of this posting. Though we are strangers in this world, reading your posts affirms the idea we may have known each other in the pre-existance. Keep blogging brother, you lift up more people than you know!

Barry, what you said is just great. A few people posses the power of forgiving, I feel this is one of the toughest jobs.

Kaira - We all possess the power of forgiveness, but many of us fail to practice. We can all strengthen our spiritual abilities through regular and conscious attention.
